Overview
Families and Communities Together (FCT) is a collaboration between Community Healthlink, LUK, Inc, and Communitites of Care that oversees 3 wraparound programs operating in the Central MA area as part of the Commonwealth's Children's Behavioral Health Initiative. The FCT Wraparound Programs seek to build on families strengths and available support systems to help children with serious emotional disturbance remain in or return to their communities. The FCT staff work with a family to develop a Care Planning Team (CPT) which consists of the child, family, people invited by the family, FCT staff and appropriate state agency and school staff. The CPT develops an Individual Care Plan that focuses on the child's and family's needs and proposes ways to improve the child's well being at home, at school and the community.
GENERAL DUTIES:
Under the direction of the FTC Collaborative Director, the FCT Director of Caregiver Peer to Peer Support is responsible for the daily administrative oversight of all Caregiver Peer to Peer Support activities provided by the Community Service Agency (CSA) utilizing the Wraparound Service Planning process as defined by the Massachusetts Children's Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI). The Director of Caregiver Peer to Peer Support, in full partnership with the FCT ICC Director is responsible for day to day operations of the CSA in accordance with Youth and Family Services Division standards and polices and procedures. This includes the training, coaching, and supervision of Family Partner Supervisors. In addition, the Director of Caregiver Peer to Peer Support will work in partnership with the FCT ICC Director in fulfilling all state and funding mandates and contractual obligations for the FCT, including reporting on a regular basis to the local System of Care Committee, as well asparticipating in community/ professional workgroups as needed and indicated by the FCT Collaborative Director.
Responsibilities
MAJOR JOB-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

Manages the day to day operations of large Caregiver Support program serving clinically complex youth with serious emotional disturbance and their families.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with youth, families, colleagues, and community members in a manner that is sensitive to their racial/ethic/cultural/class backgrounds.
Is able to coach, teach, or otherwise assist staff to successfully engage youth and their families in the Wraparound process and to develop strong working relationships with youth, families, and colleagues in the family/child serving human services system including but not limited to clinical providers, primarily care providers, case managers, school personnel, and/or state agency representatives.
Maintains the highest standards of ethics and demonstrates professional attitude and conduct.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Provides essential leadership in the creation and maintenance of a positive and collaborative working environment where all FCT employees and enrolled youth and their families feel welcome, supported, and comfortable.
Oversees day to day operation of all Caregiver Support activities in the FCT and ensures all Caregiver Peer to Peer Support services are in compliance with all contractual, licensing and agency policies and procedures.
Provide Caregiver Peer to Peer Support to a small number of enrolled youth and their families as determined by the FCT Peer to Peer Support Director.
Oversee utilization management, employ CQI principals, and assist as needed in accreditation processes.
Provide direct administrative and clinical supervision for Family Partner Supervisors (with assistance and oversight from FCT ICC Director) to assist and coach them in their supervision of the FCT Family Partners.
In full and equal partnership with the FCT ICC Director, convene regular administrative staff meetings to address issues of morale, work environment, policies, and procedures.
Identify ongoing training needs for the FCT staff, and work with the FCT ICC Director and FCT Collaborative Director to meet these needs.
Assist in the recruitment and orientation of new FCT staff.
Assist with ongoing quality improvement, including the direct observation of the work of FCT Family Partners, as well as collection of data using Community Healthlink Quality Assurance tools.
Receive complaints or concerns from enrolled families, providers, state agency representatives, or anyone who expresses concern about the Caregiver Peer to Peer Support process and works with the FCT ICC Director to remedy such issues.
Assist the FCT Director and FCT ICC Director with refinement and development of FCT policies and procedures.
Participates as appropriate in all management meetings, training, evaluation/research, supervision, quality management, and related activities as may be directed by the FCT Director.
Represents the FCT along with the FCT ICC Director at local System of Care meetings, state wide FCT meetings, and other local and state meetings as needed and directed by the FCT Director.
Follow all policies and procedures of the agency.
Work assigned hours, which may include some weekend and evening hours.
Perform other related job duties as required and necessary
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Experience as a caregiver of a youth with special needs preferably a youth with mental health needs;
Experience in navigating and working with any of the child/family serving systems or teaching other parents/caregivers to navigate such systems;
Experience providing Caregiver Peer to Peer Support within a Wraparound Service Planning Process;
Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience supervising staff within a child/family serving human services program;
Bachelors degree in a human services related field from an accredited university or college and one (1) year of experience working with youth/families; or an Associates degree in a human services related field from an accredited school and one (1) year of experience working with youth/families; or High School diploma/HiSet or GED and a minimum of two (2) years experience working with youth/families.
Has a current valid US-issued driver's license and ability to provide registered and insured automobile for work related purposes including transporting clients
Must be able to pass a CORI background check

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
