In the course of your work, you will use hand tools and power tools, including mills, lathes, grinders, and all other machine shop equipment.
It will require the ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Injection Mold Maker:
Perform routine maintenance on all production tools, including machine repairs and PMs.
Repair molds as required by machining welded mold components.
Repair hot runners, including changing their components.
Manufacture machine parts based on prints or dimensioning and sketching existing parts.
Be required to participate in the on-call program and may need to work additional hours as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Keep a well-organized and clean work area.
Follow all safety rules and procedures and observe the operations to ensure a safe environment.
Requirements of the Injection Mold Maker:
High School Diploma or GED; trade school experience in Machine Shop is a plus.
3-5 years of experience in a maintenance-related position, repairing injection molds.
Ability to interpret documents such as manuals, blueprints, and hot runner prints.
Knowledge in using precision measuring tools.
Ability to solve practical problems with injection molds.
Basic mathematical skills and machine shop mathematical skills are required.
Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrating personal responsibility.
Work well with other employees and fulfill all assigned duties.
