This role is critical to our business and works in tandem with our Cidermakers and Operations Manager.
Canditates with previous beverage packaging experience are strongly encouraged.
Position Summary The Packaging Supervisor role is responsible for overseeing and executing packaging of all cider products into cans and kegs.
The primary responsibility will be operating and maintaining our Cask ACSFlex2 canning line, labeler, pak-tech applicator and other packaging line logistics.
This candidate will have the opportunity to train and gain familiarity with our equipment under the guidance of our current Packaging Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities Operation and maintenance of our Cask ACSFlex2 canning line, including start-up, sanitization, depalletizer, labeler, pak-tech applicator, conveyance, and associated line functions.
Maintain consistent quality of packaged cider in collaboration with cidermaking team.
Inspecting and maintaining can end seaming tolerances, and other metrics for stable can end product.
Ensuring finished canned cider is free from can defects and/or labeling issues, is sound and professional, ready to be shipped to distribution.
Overall maintaining sound packaging practices from start to finish, and being able to respond to technical issues which arise during the filling and packaging process.
Supervision of kegging line, instructing proper filling and cleaning techniques by the production team.
Demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Organized and detail oriented.
Effectively give and receive feedback.
Offer new ideas and lead initiatives to implement them with team.
Adaptable to changing priorities, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Bring passion and excellence to everything we do.
Experience & Skills Previous brewery or beverage packaging line experience is required.
Ability to troubleshoot packaging equipment and maintain and fix issues.
Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
Punctuality is a must Must be 21
Working Conditions & Requirements This role operates in a manufacturing environment:
You're expected to be on your feet for most of your shift.
Must be able and willing to work morning, midday and afternoon hours Compensation & Hours As an employee of Stormalong Cider, the Packaging Supervisor role will earn a salary of $65,000 - 80,000, depending on experience.
Hours range from 8:
00 / 8:
30am to the end of packaging, usually around 3 to 4pm.
Total hours average between 35-40 hours a week.
